10 Things You Didn't Know About Brodie Lee

2. A Burgeoning Movie Career

Brodie Lee had a great look. Most professional wrestlers look excellent in one way or another, but The Exalted One had an aesthetic that just worked. It clicked. The eyes complimented the beard, the limbs accentuated the aura. Brodie Lee was made for the big time.

It is a little surprising therefore that he only made one feature film appearance, starring in 2017 political horror movie 'Mohawk'. Set in the early 19th century, the film centres around retribution (no, not that RETRIBUTION) sought by Okwaho, a young Mohawk woman who sees her family and tribe slaughtered by soldiers. Brodie played Lachlan Allsopp, an American soldier who survives a fire only to not survive getting stabbed in the head by the aforementioned young Mohawk woman.

I'm not going to tell you that Huber was a standout performance; this was a political horror movie after all. He was a little rough around the edges but he managed to standout and then some, and it was only a matter of time before more silver screen roles came his way, especially with a wider range of acting abilities encouraged by his role in AEW.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
