On the first day of 2020, Charlotte Flair and the current WWE United States Champion Andrade announced their engagement to the world. Was this announcement the catalyst for the shower of sh*t that has taken place since then? Are the power couple to blame for COVID-19, Brexit and all the rest? That remains to be seen. Maybe we’ll never know.

What we do know is that if Andrade and Charlotte make it to the altar, the former La Sombra will become the third individual to take on the mantle of Mr. Nature Girl. Between 2010 and 2013, Flair was married to a chap called Riki Johnson, although the romance came to an acrimonious end (a massive understatement). Flair made a number of claims about the relationship in a 2017 book, claims that led to Johnson suing both her and her father.

Flair’s second marriage was to Thomas Latimer, better known to wrestling fans as TNA’s Bram, or maybe better known as NXT’s Kenneth Cameron. Either way, Flair and Latimer were married from 2013 to 2015, although the relationship was a tumultuous one if the tabloids are to be believed.

How will the marriage to Andrade pan out? Well, La Sombra is the most handsome man on the planet, so here’s hoping this time is for realsies.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
