Chelsea Green is going to be a star. Of course, it is nigh on impossible to say that about anyone within the WWE system, this is a company that has failed to make megastars out of Ricochet and Ali, after all. Still, Green has both the ability and the WWE-friendly aesthetics to make serious waves in the world's largest wrestling promotion.

Just 29 years of age, the British Columbia star has ticked off plenty of boxes in her career, wrestling in Japan, India and North America, winning titles and turning heads with every match. It isn't fair to say that her success has been a sure thing, but it can't be that surprising either.

Green has had a curious career to date, one that has traversed the entire globe, picking up broken bones and broken hearts along the way. While her WWE run hasn't been particularly thrilling to date, there have been plenty of interesting escapades in her six years of active competition to date.

What do we know about Chelsea Green? The future Mrs. Long Island Iced Z could well become a serious household name in the future of pro wrestling, so there's no better time than now to get to know the former Knockouts Champion, she who could have been Victorius.

Somewhat contradictorily, let's get the obvious out of the way first. Chelsea Green is, as many will be aware, currently engaged to Matt Cardona, former WWE superstar Zack Ryder. Their engagement was announced on Green's 28th birthday, way back in April 2019, a time that might as well be a lifetime ago at this point. The wedding was scheduled for 2020 but then 2020 actually happened, and we all know how that goes.

The two were actually brought together by the Mr and Mrs and the Nightmare Family, Cody and Brandi Rhodes. Cody and Zack's friendship is well-documented, and the future parents met Green while the trio was working in Impact Wrestling. Zack was single, Chelsea was single, Cody and Brandi had an idea. The rest is history.

Nothing is that simple, of course. Zack was apprehensive, to begin with, but finding out that Chelsea was a big Disney fan was the deal-breaker. One well-timed slide into the DMs later, wrestling had itself another poster couple taking frequent trips to any and all Mickie Mouse appearances.

Here's hoping the two can exchange vows in 2021.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man.
