Time waits for no man or woman, especially those in the professional wrestling industry. The sport is increasingly a young person's game, which means many of today's stars grew up watching WWE in the mid to late 2000s. If you think back to how strange WWE was at the time, that is obviously going to throw up some strange inspirations.

With all that in mind, it isn't too weird that Chelsea Green was a big Kelly Kelly fan growing up. The former Knockouts Champion has said that she started watching professional wrestling when she was in elementary school and that the Blonde Bombshell was one of her favourites. Kelly was one of the more pushed females from her debut in 2006 to her release in 2012, a beautiful woman who experienced more success between the ropes than anyone ever expected her to.

Of course, the usual names are thrown up with Kelly, legends like Stone Cold Steve Austin, Trish Stratus and Bret Hart, but Kelly Kelly's spot as Chelsea's childhood favourite is a sign of these changing times. How long until someone cites Sylvan Grenier, Gymini or Rob Conway as a big favourite growing up?

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
