Wrestling in front of more than 20,000 fans is a dream for any aspiring pro wrestler. Less than a year after her WWE Tough Enough experience, Chelsea Green was doing just that, competing in the squared circle in front of tens of thousands of screaming fans in India. Living the dream, right? Sure, although those dreams rarely involve breaking bones.

"Last night in front of 20,000 people, I wrestled for the most amazing crowd. Unfortunately, I broke my collar bone at the beginning of my match. It was a freak accident that nobody could have seen coming. After our show I was airlifted with Khali to a hospital here in India, where they will perform surgery. This picture is just a fraction of the amazing staff that have been taking care of me. I couldn't have asked to be surrounded by more amazing, caring people. I love India!"

Sounds about right for the crazy world that is professional wrestling. Green spoke about her initial experience in a local hospital that felt like a 'horror movie hospital in the 1950s', where everything was 'metal and creaky', before being moved to a decidedly more modern facility shortly after. Breaking your collarbone is one thing, doing it in front of 20,000 fans in India is another.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
