10. Francine And Dawn Marie Nearly Had A Backstage Fight
There was definitely no love loss between ECW divas Francine and Dawn Marie. The two had a very public rivalry while they were both working for the original ECW. The two did not get along and would trade insults towards each other, both backstage and via interviews. So when Francine and Dawn were both booked for One Night Stand in 2005, the boys in the back must have suspected that something was about to go down. And it did.
Dawn suspected Francine of blowing her off backstage and confronted her about it. Dawn found this to be patronising since she was a 'WWE star' (not for long) and Francine was an 'outsider'. Reports circulated that Francine called Dawn a 'b****', amongst other things.
According to Francine, however, she did nothing to incur Dawn's wrath that day. She told PWInsider.com after the event that:
Dawn came over to me and said Hi. I extended my hand to her and we shook hands. I then said How are you? She said, I see you are as pleasant as ever, rolled her eyes and walked away. I just ignored her comments...I didn't disrespect her in any way and I did shake her hand. We are not the best of friends but I shook her hand because it was the right thing to do
It was believed that there would have been a physical altercation between the two, were it not for Dawn's pregnancy. When word of this got to Johnny Ace and Vince McMahon, they held a meeting and called for professionalism.
