10 Things You Didn't Know About Eddie Guerrero

9. He Was Opposed To The Lie, Cheat, Steal Vignettes

Eddie Guerrero always had his fans but was usually more effective as a heel during his career. Eddie had a great run as an ultra-intense bad guy in 2002 but when the boos started to turn to cheers , WWE decided that it needed to turn Eddie and nephew Chavo face.

WWE began to air a series of vignettes in early 2003 that showed Los Guerreros in a more comedic light. The duo were seen playfully cheating at a game of golf, stealing a guy's coat and hitting on some women from their low rider. The new look Guerreros were a hit with fans and they instantly got over as babyfaces. But Eddie was far from happy about the team's portrayal in the promos. He felt like WWE were disrespecting the Guerreros and initially refused to go through with it.

It was only after the writing team assured him that it was the right move creatively and that the team wouldn't be harmed that Eddie agreed to go through with them.
