The main appeal of Grado's character is entrenched in comedy. Once dubbed the 'Scottish Santino Marella', there are clear parallels between the Brit and his Italian-Canadian counterpart. Chiefly, both have embraced the idea that they're there to be the butt of jokes, also enjoying the fact that they can get away with things other, more serious, wrestlers can't.

Grado has more than one trademark move that he busts out during most of his matches. Perhaps the most famous is the 'Wee Boot', a running big boot that is regularly accompanied by some set up from the man himself. He also has a version of Brock Lesnar's F-5, again used comedically.

Most hilariously, Grado uses a parody of CM Punk's old 'Go To Sleep' finisher. For the purposes of adding local flavour to his act, Grado calls his move the 'Get Tae Yer Bed' ('Get To Your Bed' for those struggling to understand Scottish dialect).

Parodying famous moves of top wrestlers has become a charming part of Grado's overall act, he's also used versions of the STF and Rock Bottom during matches.
