3. On The Streets For A While
Ivelisse’s appearance on TNA Gut Check was primarily a
chance to earn a deal with the company. But even though she didn’t achieve
that, it had also been an opportunity to share some of her story with the
world.
In the video package that previewed her Gut Check appearance, Ivelisse went into a bit of detail about her background, referencing some of her wrestling history and her passion for Mixed Martial Arts. As well as that, we were provided a glimpse of Ivelisse’s upbringing.
On the verge of tears, she spoke about the breakdown of her relationship with her mother, and the resultant period she spent living on the streets, moving from place to place in a bid to realise her dream in pro wrestling.
Don’t worry, though, the story has a happy ending, as she did indeed eventually patch things up with her mother—thanking her for the position she’s in today.
