7. She Pitched A Storyline Where She Had Dissociative Identity Disorder
Maria would ultimately make it to WWE and become famous for playing a not-very-bright character, one who would frequently screw up wrestlers' names while interviewing them backstage. When she started getting more involved in storylines with other stars, she became Santino Marella's girlfriend - but once Santino turned heel, he was prone to manipulating the ditzy Maria.
The character became associated with Kanellis, but if she had her way, it would have only been half of the equation. During her tenure with the company, Maria pitched a storyline that would see her play another character on TV, one who was manipulative and evil - basically, the antithesis of the role she usually played.
Both Maria and the other character would express interest in a male wrestler - only for it to turn out that they were both the same person, and that she had dissociative identity disorder. Management rejected Maria's idea, however, and her character was left unaltered.
