Even though Paul Ellering is best-remembered for his term with The Road Warriors in the 1980s and early '90s, he came back to their side during a period when wrestling was reaching new levels of popularity: the Attitude Era.

This time, though, he wouldn't stay with his old charges for long. After being brought back by LOD 2000, as they were then known, Ellering immediately turned on them to join forces with The Disciples of Apocalypse. That led to a feud between the two teams that lasted for most of 1998, though their matches were typically relegated to the undercard and neither tandem came close to winning the WWE World Tag Team Titles.

Ellering reportedly found it difficult to work opposite The Road Warriors, and by 1999, the trio was put together once again. From there, it wasn't long before Ellering and The Road Warriors left WWE once again, but "Precious" Paul's late-'90s tenure in the company remains an interesting curiosity.
