4. His Daughter Has Wrestled For NXT
Not only did Paul Ellering's daughter, Rachael, follow in his footsteps by becoming a powerlifter, but she went a step further - in late 2015, she made her debut as a pro wrestler.
Trained at Lance Storm's Storm Wrestling Academy, Ellering graduated from the class in December of 2015 and has already made a name for herself on the independent scene. Even before graduating, she teamed with Storm for the Prairie Wrestling Alliance, as the pair took on Brett Morgan and Gisele Shaw last November. She's also been competing for Shine Wrestling, the women's-only brand that's part of the World Wrestling Network family of promotions.
Her greatest exposure to date, however, came at April 28's NXT TV tapings. At the tapings, she wrestled Alexa Bliss in a bout that aired on the WWE Network on May 11. Though Ellering came up short, the fact that she was given the opportunity shows that she's on WWE's radar and will likely make a major impact in the sport.
