10 Things You Didn't Know About Raven

2. Raven Is Practically A Genius

Raven’s understanding of psychology and the mental side of professional wrestling may well precede his in-ring performances. The former ECW World Champion was known for his love of mind games, for getting into the heads of opponents before the opening bell had even been rung. You can’t do that without a high-functioning brain.

When talking about the intellect of Scott Levy, ‘high functioning’ is an understatement. A graduate in Criminal Justice from the University of Delaware, Levy has an IQ of 143 and is a card-carrying member of Mensa, the largest and oldest high IQ society on the planet. For reference, the average IQ is around 100, while anything over 140 is considered to be, well, special.

Levy is also a member of Theta Chi, an international college fraternity that was established way back in 1856. How many professional wrestlers can say they are a member of not one but two education and intelligence-based organisations? Not many, that’s for sure. Levy took his fair share of chair shots to the head while he was an active wrestler, which makes this all the more peculiar.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
