1. Roman Reigns Is His Brother
The Anoa'i wrestling family is one of the most famous and respected in wrestling history, and during the course of his career, Matt got to work with many of his family members. Unfortunately, he never got to work with his brother, Joe - also known as current WWE top dog Roman Reigns.
The brothers were actually quite far apart in age, which accounts for the fact that they never crossed paths or teamed up in the ring. Matt was born in 1970, while Joe was born in 1985. By the time Reigns began his career (in 2010), Rosey's in-ring career was all but over.
Though Reigns achieved more success in WWE than his brother, it's not hard to see that he looked up to Matt and and followed his path. Both men wanted to be football players (Reigns made it to the NFL for a brief spell before heading to the CFL and ultimately retiring), and when that didn't work, they joined the family business of pro wrestling. Both found fame and fortune there, and both play a role in adding to the legacy of their legendary family.
