10 Things You Didn't Know About Rosey
7. He Collected Tag Team Titles Throughout His Career
The greatest victory of Anoa'i's career likely came on May 1, 2005, at Raw's Backlash PPV. On that show, Rosey and The Hurricane won a tag team turmoil match to capture the World Tag Team Championship. That would end up being Rosey's only title win on WWE's main roster, but for fans who had passionately followed the tandem for years, it was a well-earned moment.
What it wasn't, though, was the only tag title victory of Rosey's career. Prior to debuting on Raw as part of Three Minute Warning, Rosey had actually captured tag team gold all over the world. He and cousin Lloyd Anoa'i - who competed primarily as L.A. Smooth - won gold in WXW and Puerto Rico's World Wrestling Council. Once Rosey started teaming up with Eddie "Jamal" Fatu regularly, the pair were instant champions - they captured the Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling Hardcore Tag Team Titles in 2000, and after they were signed to WWE developmental deals, they won the Heartland Wrestling Association Tag Team Titles once and the Maryland Championship Wrestling Tag Team Titles three times.
