10 Things You Didn't Know About Rosey
6. Three Minute Warning Was Supposed To Return
Most of Matt Anoa'i's WWE career is well documented, right down to the very end. After he and Hurricane lost the World Tag Team Championships, Hurricane turned on his partner, leading to a brief feud between the two. Hurricane would win their face off and head to Smackdown (where he had a record-setting Cruiserweight Championship run as Gregory Helms), while Rosey would disappear from TV.
He'd end up being released from the company on March 21, 2006, after a few months of inactivity. Initially, though, there were different plans in the works. Eddie Fatu - who was fired from WWE in 2003 - was rehired in December of 2005, and the plan was to reunite Fatu and Anoa'i as Three Minute Warning once again. The team even wrestled a dark match before Raw on January 9, 2006.
Ultimately, the company decided to go in a different direction. Rosey was fired, while Jamal returned to television with the Umaga character just a couple of weeks later.
