Back in 2008, Scott Hall was the only person to stand up for Owen Hart after a comedian made a disgusting joke about the accident that took the life of the youngest Hart sibling.

This occurred at an event titled Ring Roasts 1: A Comedic Tribute to the Iron Sheik. Featuring the likes of Bob Backlund, Nikolai Volkoff, Don Muraco, King Kong Body and Kevin Sullivan, this show was the typical roast format - with a slew of stars from yesteryear taking shots at the Iron Sheik.

One of the 'comedians' present for the event was a guy called Jimmy Graham, and Graham made a joke about Owen's death as part of a jibe at the Sheik. In the audience for this, Scott Hall rightfully took offense to Graham's classless quip, storming the stage and making his thoughts extremely clear to Jimmy (the video can be found online).

It may have resulted in the roast being halted and the police being called, but Hall was undoubtedly justified in his reaction here. To anyone with even a slither of decency, the Owen comment would have been deplorable, and in Scott Hall you had a long-time friend of Hart's who had known him as far back as 1987 when the two worked some New Japan Pro Wrestling shows together.
