10 Things You Didn’t Know About Shelton Benjamin

6. Money In The Bank Record

Despite having never won the briefcase, Shelton Benjamin has become somewhat synonymous with the Money in the Bank match-up.

That’s largely thanks to some of the maniacal stunts he’s pulled off over the years, including the earlier mention of running up a folded ladder, as well as leaping on, jumping off, falling through, and doing with a ladder just about anything and everything in between.

But as well as all that madness, he also holds a very exclusive Money in the Bank record.

Benjamin is the only man to have appeared in five out of the first six Money in the Bank matches that were staged in the WWE. That makes him something of an unofficial Mr. Money in the Bank, if you will.

Interestingly, though, he’s never actually appeared at the eponymous pay-per-view. His departure from the company came in 2010, just a few months before the show was launched. If he sticks around for the next 11 months, though, that’s very likely to change come next year’s event.
