Three days after SummerSlam 1995, a woman from Anaheim, California came forward and accused several WWF performers of sexually and physically abusing her. The incident was claimed to have taken place following a December 29, 1994 house show.

Among those accused were Jimmy Del Ray and Tatanka. The wrestlers were in the bar that night and knew the women, who was discovered in the hotel lobby crying the next morning. She threatened criminal chargers against the pair, stating that the announcement that WrestleMania XII would take place in Anaheim had triggered bad memories of the night and caused her considerable distress.

In the opinion of Kevin Nash, Tatanka was an innocent bystander and that if anything went down it was due to Del Ray, going as far as to say that 'I know for a fact that Chris didn't do anything besides be at the wrong place at the wrong time'.

Whether that was the case or not, Vince McMahon - who was on his toes since the company had recently gone through a sex scandal - wasn't taking any chances and suspended Chavis for six months. Del Ray had already been fired due to budget cuts.
