The WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2012 was headlined by the recently-retired Edge, with a strong class of inductees bulking up the bill. There was Mil Mascaras, Yokozuna, Ron Simmons and Mike Tyson, along with the classic incarnation of the Four Horsemen. Ric Flair became a two-time inductee in the process, while Arn Anderson, Barry Windham, JJ Dillon and Tully Blanchard finally got themselves inside.

Tessa Blanchard was in the audience to see her father get inducted, and the future Impact World Champion has often said that it was this experience that made her want to give wrestling a go. Why wouldn't it? Seeing your father inducted into a Hall of Fame on the biggest weekend of the year, all the glitz, glamour, pomp and circumstance, the respect afforded to the past and the desire and commitment displayed by the future. It was surely just about as infectious as an atmosphere could get.

From that point on, Tessa Blanchard knew that she wanted to become a professional wrestler. She began to look for wrestling schools not too far from her, keeping it a secret from her family all the while.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
