10 Things You Didn't Know About Tessa Blanchard

6. Training With Cedric

Tessa found a wrestling school just 20 minutes from her home and a reputable one at that. When she turned 18, Blanchard began training at Highspots Wrestling School, a Charlotte-based school run by George South. A much-loved career jobber, South carved out more of a name for himself as a trainer as opposed to a performer, and Highspots has trained a bevy of men and women who have gone on to make a splash in the modern wrestling world.

Tessa Blanchard is among them, as well as the man she considers a 'big brother' in the wrestling world. Cedric Alexander was in the same class as Tessa and did all he could to help the rookie along, the two frequently having long matches once practice was over. The two displayed a commitment that went above and beyond what was expected of them, often training until the early hours of the morning.

Tessa and Cedric eventually went down different paths but a reunion isn't out of the question, what with rumours frequently circling about Blanchard and WWE. If MVP and The Hurt Business find themselves on the lookout for a female component, they could do worse than give Tessa a call.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
