5. This Actual Courtroom Defense Video Of Wrestlers Cutting Promos For The Sheik
http://youtu.be/-eBf3HfHM-8 Mickey Sherman is an author and defense attorney who specializes in assault cases. One of his most notable cases was when he found himself representing The Iron Sheik. Sheik was in trouble because a gas station attendant accused him of roughing him up. Sherman believed that the charges against The Sheik were false and wanted to help prove his innocence. Sherman decided to assemble some of Sheik's famous friends to vouch for his character and he made it look like a wrestling-style promo. Sherman himself hosted the segment holding a WWF microphone. Freddie Blassie and Capt. Lou Albano hilariously stuck to their on-air personalities as they spoke well of Sheik. Others, like Bobby Heenan and Cyndi Lauper, dialed it back a little and showed reverence to the situation. The video was presented to the judge and was actually not laughed out of the courtroom. The judge loved it. The case went away and Mickey Sherman has since used the footage in lectures and in books as an example of "creative defenses."
