10 Things You Didn't Know About Toni Storm

5. She's Struggled With Depression And Anxiety Since 16

In that same aforementioned interview with Lillian Garcia on her 'Chasing Glory' podcast, Toni Storm addressed the explicit photos that were leaked without her consent last year and discussed how she "shut down" as a result, revealing that she's been battling depression and anxiety since she was 16.

Of course, things hit harder after the incident and led her to leaving social media for a brief period. She still went on to wrestle at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool that same weekend where she won the NXT UK Women's Championship.

Storm called it one of the worst things she's ever experienced but also noted how her depression was already hitting her hard following her grandfather's passing and family issues growing up. Thanks to her amazing circle of support that includes her friends and fans however, she has been able to cope with her depression and anxiety to the best of her ability.

Of course, The Lightning Down Under sharing that story with the wrestling world instantly made her even more relatable and likable than she already was. And to think she's been as successful as she has been while struggling with all of that.
