1. Stephanie McMahon Wanted To Unmask Him Because She Thought He Was Good Looking
One of the main things that drew fans to Ultimo Dragon was his instantly-recognisable ring garb. Very few wrestlers had gear as striking as Dragon's tights, mask, shoulder pads and cape. It was his intricate mask, in particular, which made him stand out from the crowd. By the time late 2004 rolled around, however, Dragon was looking to drop the mask and try something different. It all stemmed from Stephanie McMahon catching a glimpse of a maskless Dragon at a television taping. As the story went at the time, Stephanie was taken aback by how good-looking Ultimo was and suggested that he should lose the mask and show his face. The plan for Ultimo's WWE return would see him wrestle without the mask, in completely new ring gear and under the name 'Asai'. Thankfully, he came to his senses and decided against an unmasked return, since he would have no doubt gotten lost in the shuffle once more.
