There's absolutely no doubting Ultimo's talent in the ring. He's one of the best Junior Heavyweights of all-time and paved the way for a lot of wrestlers who are thriving in today's WWE (such as Neville). A true innovator, Dragon gave a lot to wrestling, but he also took a lot, too, if certain accounts are to be believed. Rey Mysterio, who vouched for Dragon in WWE, claimed during a 2000 RF Video shoot interview that he could be selfish in the ring, making sure that he got his moves in and looked good, without thinking as much about his opponent and how he would look. This is typical of Mexico, where Dragon trained and became a star. Similarly, Jushin Liger claimed in another RF Video shoot that Ultimo has the habit of only telling stories from his point of view and that, while a hard worker, likes to make himself look good above all others. Indeed, if you look at some of Dragon's WCW, NJPW and WAR work, you can see he's making a point to get every moonsault, kick and frankensteiner in whenever possible.
