10 Things You Didn't Know About Val Venis

5. He Briefly Wrestled In TNA

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkMu3ir7jKU Where does a WWE wrestler go once they've left the company? They can go to Japan, do the independent thing, appear at signings/conventions or go to TNA. Venis, who was released from WWE on January 9th 2009 decided to do all of the above. That's right, for a very brief period Val Venis was a TNA wrestler. Well, not Val Venis, but Sean Morley. Performing under his real name, Venis worked for TNA between January and March 2010. Venis must have impressed Hulk Hogan during the Hulkamania tour of Australia in November 2009. Hogan and Eric Bischoff decided to load the January 4th 2010 Impact with big names, since it was the first show in their ill-fated run going head-to-head with WWE. Morely only wrestled a couple of matches for TNA, including a win over Christopher Daniels at Genesis (which he was opposed to - he wanted Daniels to go over) and a loss to Desmond Wolfe on Impact. Morley, whose passion for wrestling was fading fast, left TNA to pursue other interests.
