"I look forward to coming here and drinking for free".

Those were the words of a mirthful 'Big Sexy' during the press conference on 12 January. Kevin Nash knew he had it made in WCW, and he decided to be a 7ft smart arse about the themed restaurant because he could. If anyone asked, Nash could just say being laid back and cool was his character, and he wouldn't be lying.

Besides, WCW had made it clear to the roster that they'd be able to eat and drink free of charge at Nitro Grill whenever the company rolled into the Las Vegas area. This was presumably to encourage them to show up for special appearances, but it didn't really work for most of the top stars; in fairness, why the hell would Goldberg (for example) want to be swamped by fans when he was trying to relax?

Nash's flippant comment was indicative of the attitude behind the scenes in WCW. Nitro Grill was something the corporate types wanted to push, not the actual wrestlers themselves. However, if it meant Disco Inferno got to eat for free, then was it really a flop?

Ahem.
