10 Things You Didn't Know About WWE In 1993

4. Hogan Went "Hollywood" In 1993

What was that about "mind-blowing"?!

The 22 February '93 edition of Raw was another low-key in-ring effort from the WWF. There was a six-man tag worth seeing (largely due to Shawn Michaels and the criminally-underrated Beverly Brothers), but nothing else really lives long in the memory. Then, there's this.

Hulk Hogan appeared in a backstage sit-down interview with Vince McMahon, but he wasn't clad in traditional red and yellow attire. Instead, Hogan donned some soon-to-be-familiar black and white colours. Although it was an ICOPRO shirt he was wearing, Hulk's look had a distinctly-nWo vibe to it (before that was even a thing).

Fans definitely weren't used to seeing their hero rocking this look on WWF TV. It felt alien, and it's somewhat of a surprise that Vince didn't insist on his poster boy wearing something/anything red or yellow to sell his return to screens.

Hogan went Hollywood long before WCW had that thought, which is amazing.
