2. Former WWE Writer's Revealing Commentary Removed
John Piermarini worked as a WWE writer from early 2009 and late 2010, working as a member of the Raw writing team. Despite his Stamford career being somewhat short-lived, it was still incident-filled and he had many stories to share, so he started a blog in January 2011. His January 22nd entry was an eye-opener, and featured many juicy insider tidbits. Here are a few:
*Drew McIntyre was pitched to win the Smackdown 2010 Money in the Bank ladder match at the MITB PPV, and Kevin Dunn agreed, but it was changed to Kane because the agents felt too many heels were going over on the show (even though Kane turned heel against Rey Mysterio later in the evening) *Christian was viewed as being a 'good hand' but not World Championship material *Vince McMahon was hesitant to push John Morrison because he believed that he couldn't kick anyone's ass in a real fight *A main event Edge versus Christian programme had been pitched to death and rejected every time *Daniel Bryan was viewed as a career midcarder by Vince McMahon *Vince saw Skip Sheffield (now Ryback) as a potential No.2 babyface in the company
Soon after the commentary went live, it was removed from its original website, at the behest of WWE who weren't happy, to say the least. Still, the commentary is out there on the web and is worth looking at if you want an insight into the decision making in WWE.
