3. Maryse Gets Restraining Order Against Crazed 61-Year-Old Fan
One thing you probably wish for when you enjoy a measure of fame is that you don't want to attract any crazy stalkers. Unfortunately for former WWE Diva's Champion Maryse, she found herself as the recipient of the affections of a deranged 61-year-old man named Lee Silber in 2011. Silber had sent the French vixen a series of letters, as well as more than fifty voicemails to her personal cell phone. The contents of these letters and voicemails was so disturbing that Maryse filed for a restraining order, claiming that she 'feared for her life'. In one of the letters, Silber claimed that he would 'not only give you a check for $100,000, but give you a 100 carat diamond ring worth $20,000,000 to prove I am your friend'. Others said that he was coming to LA to get her and that he would 'take her to heaven' with him. Maryse told TMZ that Silber was a 'crazy stalker who needs to either be in a psychiatric hospital or jail' and had beefed up security in her home. A Los Angeles Superior Court judge placed a restraining order on Silber, noting that he must stay at least 300 feet away from the star. After taking two months off to recover from a hernia operation, Maryse was released from her contract on October 28th.
