10 Things You Didn't Know About WWE In 2013

Daniel Bryan nearly causes a riot and Chris Jericho has a little bit TOO much of the bubbly...

What might we already know about 2013?

We might already know the year was welcomed in with sh*t - AJ Lee and Dolph Ziggler held a New Years party at the end of 2012 that was ruined when John Cena dropped a vat of the stuff on their heads. A tribute to the year past, or some foreshadowing of things to come?

We might already know CM Punk sh*t himself. Thanks to a couple of legendary podcast appearances, you know where to find the match with a certain Dean Ambrose, who himself was only weeks away from having a snake sh*t on his face.

And we might already know that WWE spent half a year sh*tting the bed with the Daniel Bryan burial. Never ever believe that company line about the WrestleMania XXX build requiring it just so the destination could fully justify the journey. If you happened to be watching weekly at the time, it'll be hard to forget just how much they sh*t the bed. And even within this list, there's a bit more on that to follow that highlights just how filthy the sheets were.

But did you know that...

10. Chris Jericho Nearly Got Arrested The Night Before His Surprise Royal Rumble Return

Few Chris Jericho returns were as effective as his 2013 Royal Rumble reappearance.

He'd been away since the summer, and in truth he'd not been that missed. A loser-leaves-WWE programme with Dolph Ziggler hadn't lit the world on fire, and that itself had followed a middling programme with CM Punk that failed to meet the expectations set by realistic claims to them both being the "Best In The World".

Yet, his appearance at #2 (against 'The Show Off himself at #1) free from any pomposity in the set-up was a delight. As was his performance in the match, which only becomes more impressive when exploits from a night earlier were revealed.

The future Hall-Of-Famer went nearly 50 minutes in the battle royal, just 24 hours after he'd gotten so sh*tfaced with members of Avenged Sevenfold that he ended up in a police drunk tank. Per Jericho's recollection, it went beyond a few quiet ones to the point where the law were called after they all got a bit overzealous with one another.

Fun story, all told. Unless you click the link and actually read it - 'Y2J' doesn't come off that well at all.
