It was during the constant and depressingly reductive de-push of Daniel Bryan that Triple H went to such lengths to bury that 'Yes' Man that he ended up dragging others into the vortex.

During a semi-infamous in-character rant on an October edition of Raw, 'The Game' name-checked Chris Jericho, Rob Van Dam and Edge as guys that were supposedly just like Bryan as the "B+ Player" Champions who couldn't be "the guy". As opposed to say, him.

'The Rated-R Superstar' got wind of them and responded via WWE.com, and got this largely-forgotten quality dig in at his expense before offering a few facts:
“When you look back on WWE’s history, how many guys really were ‘the guy?’ There was Bruno Sammartino, then Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, The Rock and now John Cena. Then again, does Triple H like guys with long hair that are better looking and more athletic than him? Probably not. And I think the three of us fall into that category.”

Here's to them going 45 minutes at WrestleMania 38 to settle it once and for all.
