10 Things You Didn't Know About WWE Payback

5. Less Than One Hour Of Women's Wrestling

Prior to this year's Payback, there have been six editions of this PLE. Bafflingly, across those six events, the women's matches total less than one hour.

To be specific, WWE's female roster has been in action for 57 minutes 21 seconds cumulatively in the history of Payback.

AJ Lee defeating Kaitlyn for the Divas Title at Payback 2013, Paige retaining that same prize against Alicia Fox in 2014, and Naomi & Tamina beating the Bella Twins in 2015 all clocked in at under ten minutes. Alexa Bliss successfully defending the Raw Women's Championship against Bayley in 2017, and Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax beating Bayley & Sasha Banks for the Women's Tag Titles in 2020 would just nudge over that ten-minute mark, but the longest women's match in Payback history happened in 2016.

That 2016 event saw WWE Women's Champion Charlotte Flair take on Natalya in a bout which ran for 13 minutes and 4 seconds. Of course, that was the match where WWE once again mimicked the finish of the Montreal Screwjob, with referee Charles Robinson calling for the bell once Flair had her opponent in the Sharpshooter.

For those wondering, the shortest Payback women's match was that Paige and Fox offering, with the Anti-Diva tapping out Foxy after just 6 minutes 37 seconds.
