10 Things You Didn't Know About WWE SummerSlam

8. 2004’s Dodgeball Disaster Got Backstage Heat

How depressing is this?!

SummerSlam 2004 featured a crappy dodgeball game between the regular Divas roster and some Diva Search hopefuls. It was a complete and utter waste of pay-per-view time (John Cena vs. Booker T got six minutes on this show - just saying), but it resulted in some serious backstage heat.

No, that's not a joke. The core Divas crew were actually taken to wrestler's court behind the scenes afterwards because they lost a game of dodgeball to some rookies. Apparently, the roster believed that defeat made WWE look bad, which is wild considering fans were just glad the segment was history and everybody could move on.

This childish "court" nonsense made WWE look worse than a group of wannabe female stars winning at dodgeball did. The fact this was even debated (even in a lighthearted way) is fascinating. Who actually cared that the Divas lost? "Diva Dodgeball" shouldn't have been on pay-per-view in the first place.
