1. Muhammad Hassan Was Going To Win World Heavyweight Title In 2005
Muhammad Hassan's WWE career was very short (he was an on-screen character for less than nine months), but it was undeniably fascinating. Hassan managed to create substantial controversy both in the ring and outside of it during his fifteen minutes of fame. Eager to capitalise on the nuclear heat Hassan was drawing in arenas around the world, plans were made to put the World Heavyweight Title on him, despite his relative inexperience. Hassan was pencilled in to win the WHC at SummerSlam 2005 from Batista, in Batista's home state of Washington D.C. Unfortunately, WWE needed to write Hassan out of all storylines following the unfortunate 7/7 'terrorist' angle, and had The Undertaker take him out at the Great American Bash. Hassan as World Heavyweight Champion is certainly an intriguing proposition but, thanks to circumstances out of his control, he was released just a few months later instead.
