10 Things You Didn't Know About WWE Survivor Series

8. WWE Has Booked Just One Big Rematch

Browse through WrestleMania history and you'll see several big time rematches litter the cards. Triple H vs. The Undertaker happened three times, for example. The same could be said for The Rock vs. Steve Austin. Hell, even Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns has repeated multiple times.

Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart had Survivor Series all to themselves.

They headlined in both 1992 and 1997 (the latter was a quiet match with absolutely zero fallout; hardly anybody talks about it today!). No other pairing has repeated that main event trick since. At one point, AJ Styles vs. Brock Lesnar was in the running to do so on the undercard in 2018, but Daniel Bryan eventually replaced AJ.

Survivor Series isn't really the home of epic rematches then. That trend continued into the modern era when WWE started booking 'Champion vs. Champion' exhibitions, and the usual brand warfare stuff between Raw and SmackDown.

They don't count, because they featured different lineups every time.
