10 Things You Didn't Know About Zeb Colter

5. It Took Him 3 Weeks To Learn That Abdullah The Butcher Was An Act

The wrestling business was highly secretive when Dutch Mantell broke into it. Most of what any wrestler learned during that era happened because someone who already is in the industry decided it was okay to 'smarten' that person up. Even then, some things still had to be learned the hard way. Dutch explained once that "nobody actually sat down and said 'this is the way it works,' it was on the job training." While on Steve Austin's podcast, Dutch told Steve a funny story about first meeting a certain Madman From The Sudan. The first time Dutch worked in the same promotion as Abdullah The Butcher was while they both were in Atlanta. Dutch has said that it took him 3 weeks before he figured out that he wasn't actually a crazy butcher from Africa. Even more surprising if finding out that Abdullah is from Canada.
