9. The Show Needs Rock/Metal

‘Greatness’ by Vo Williams fails to create that blood-pumping immediacy Raw needs. Maybe this is a generational thing, but a loud-as-hell rock/metal soundtrack is way better than any other genre for WWE's TV shows; it just suits the vibe of the show.

‘Across The Nation’ by The Union Underground was f*cking perfect back in 2002-2003, man. It was so good, in fact, that the company knew they couldn't change it until 2006. That's the sign of a great opening theme - not just any track could've replaced a heavenly riff like the one used between 1997-2002, y'know.

Hopefully, this is something Triple H addresses soon. His recent use of ‘War Pigs’ by Black Sabbath at Survivor Series 2022: War Games should be viewed as a slight sea change back towards heavy tunes. Vince McMahon seemed oddly slow to do that before retiring (not that Vinnie Mac handpicked songs for pay-per-views).

Heavy should be law for a show called Raw.
