10 Things You May Have Missed From Last Night's WWE Raw (Jun 18)

2. Lesnar's Next Challenger?

Seth Rollins Dolph Ziggler

This point isn't necessarily exclusive to last night's Raw, but just became hugely relevant with Seth Rollins losing the Intercontinental Title to Dolph Ziggler.

It was a surprising development, particularly as 'The Kingslayer' was coming off a successful defence against Elias at Money In The Bank, while Ziggler and Drew McIntyre seemed to be heading for a tag run. It happened, though, and Seth's awesome high-workrate reign is over.

Throughout his time on top, Rollins would occasionally make references to how he was a hard-working, fighting champion, unlike Brock Lesnar, who rarely shows up for work. Though not as strong as the narrative peddled by buddy Roman Reigns, it was still there.

Now free of the midcard belt, the obvious line to draw is that Rollins will become Lesnar's next challenger. He has an Intercontinental rematch, but with WWE announcing a number one contender's scramble for Extreme Rules, there's a chance he could lose to Ziggler again, then enter the PPV bout, giving him an obvious pathway to a title shot.

If this comes to pass, it'd be a nice spot of week-to-week continuity from a company that doesn't always do such things well.
