10 Things You May Have Missed From Last Night's WWE Raw (Jun 18)

3. Done To Death

Kevin Owens Braun Strowman Raw

Eight times.

That was the final "Mr. Monster In The Bank" count during Braun Strowman's obligatory celebration segment, in which he was interrupted by Kevin Owens, who narrowly avoided a major beatdown after slipping out of Mr. MITB's Powerslam grasp.

WWE's propensity to take something catchy and run it into the ground is legendary. They love doing things to death, and are now well on their way to making their audience sick of Braun's new line after just a single show. Quite an accomplishment, even by WWE's standards, and if you hadn't already tired of the company's talking heads bleating it out by the time Raw ended, you soon will have.

People like Strowman. He was a popular Money In The Bank winner, and few want to feel cynical about him with the briefcase, particularly if he ends Brock Lesnar's tedious Universal Championship reign. Unfortunately, his employers are doing a great job of just that. He could be this era's Hulk Hogan, but the bulls*** WWE saddle him with has dimmed his act's gleam. This will happen again by the time they're done beating us over the head with "Mr. Monster In The Bank."
