10 Things You Miss About NXT Wrestlers On WWE's Main Roster

6. Bray Wyatt's Menace

Bray Wyatt is the least effective character on WWE's main roster at the moment.

'The Eater Of Worlds' descended into self-parody a long time ago. His promos are complete gibberish, he never wins the big matches, and hokey nonsense like the House Of Horrors match mean it's impossible to take him seriously anymore. Wyatt is a cartoon character, not a major heel threat, and his menace is gone.

Though Bray himself is partly culpable in this (he, unlikely many his peers, gets to write his own promos), this is largely down to bad booking. WWE have done an almighty hatchet job on Wyatt. He can never be recovered, and in running him into the ground, WWE have burned a man once dubbed "the new Undertaker."

His character was birthed in NXT, where him and The Wyatt Family were a real breath of fresh air. Taking inspiration from Cape Fear's Max Cady and former WWE superstar Waylon Mercy, Bray was a monstrous cult leader flanked by two lumbering behemoths. The promos were fresh, his aura was intoxicating, and the trio felt like a legitimate threat, tearing through NXT's ranks with relative ease.

This carried through to the group's first few months on the main roster, but was gradually eradicated during destructive feuds like Bray's with John Cena. Now, that menace is gone forever.
