10 Things You Missed From Last Night's WWE Raw (July 9)

5. Coach's JR Jab

Jim Ross Bump Lol

Look closely at the above gif. You'll notice that when 'Switchblade' Jay White suplexes Juice Robinson into the barricade, revered wrestling announcer Jim Ross takes a hilarious/terrible (delete as appropriate) tumble from his chair, falling into a pile on the floor.

This went down at New Japan's G1 Special In San Francisco this weekend, and it drew fury from both the crowd, and Ross' announce partner, Josh Barnett, who confronted White at ringside.

If you believe JR, Barnett, and Dave Meltzer, this wasn't planned, and Ross broke his rib on impact. Whether or not they're telling the truth remains to be seen, but Vince McMahon couldn't help but take a shot at his former employee last night. When Matt Hardy took control of his bout with Bo Dallas, Jonathan Coachman remarked: "probably could've been some broken ribs. From what we understand, they're going around these days."

The uncertainty in Coachman's voice suggests that these were McMahon's words relayed via headset, as the Chairman is prone to do during live broadcast. Hooray for extreme pettiness.
