10 Things You Need To Know About Chris Jericho's New Book

8. WWE Will Never Let Him Change His Theme Song And He's Fine With That

http://youtu.be/ODV8Z7PbOQA There was a chapter that he dedicated to songs that he has used in wrestling. He spoke about how when he did his various comebacks, he thought about changing his theme song. He even went to Vince McMahon about it to see if he could change his song just to signify a different point in his career. That was in 2007 and the song was called "Break the Walls Down" by his friend Zakk Wylde (he wrote the foreword in the book), but Vince shot it down. Vince was adamant that Jericho will never change his theme song. Vince told him a number of times that "Break the Walls Down will always be your song" and at first Jericho didn't understand because he wanted something different, but he realized later that Vince was right. That's something that happens throughout the book with Vince telling Jericho certain things that work and don't. It shows how smart Vince really is. It's not like Jericho doesn't like "Break the Walls Down" as a song. He loves it. He also realizes now that it was smart for him to only use that song in WWE because people will always associate it with him. Song changes worked for guys like Triple H, Randy Orton and CM Punk, but it's not for everybody.
