Charlie Haas. Yes, just six months after coming up short against Haas and Rico along with Billy Gunn, Hardcore Holly found himself partnered with Charlie Haas in what was by then an all but dead tag team division. Once more, the pairing came from nowhere and made little sense, other than they both had last names that began with 'H'.

The duo had a little more success than Holly and Gunn, having a number of tag title shots against MNM that at a push you could say they deserved. They were unsuccessful however, and eventually went their separate ways, splitting like ships in the night.

Haas was no stranger to random tag partners himself, teaming up with Rico, Holly, Viscera and Mike Knox during his two runs with the company.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
