10 Thrown Together WWE Tag Teams That Totally Saved Careers

8. Goldust & Booker T

Goldust & Booker T remain one of the weirdest duos to ever win tag team gold in WWE. It can be argued that this partnership was responsible for Booker T heading into WrestleMania XIX as one of the hottest babyfaces in all of pro wrestling. It still seems preposterous that Booker didn't beat Triple H at the Show of Shows that year.

Booker was one of the few members of the WCW/ECW alliance not to be utterly squashed during that infamous storyline. Booker was the only WCW roster member to make it to the big elimination match that ended the storyline, and after feuding with Stone Cold Steve Austin in supermarkets, it seemed as though Book was going to be in the midcard for the rest of his days.

Goldust and Booker came together as a comedic duo, memorably reviewing films in segments titled Booker T and Goldust at the Movies, and it was this partnership that gave Book a new lease of life. The team was split up by Eric Bischoff, but is still remembered fondly by all and sundry.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
