The duo of Cesaro & Sheamus is doing wonders for the career of the Celtic Warrior, but it was another seemingly random tag team that resurrected Cesaro's WWE stint. Cesaro and Jack Swagger were thrown together in 2013 for no reason other than to create a character for the Swiss Superman. The team was extraordinarily successful in this regard.

The Real Americans failed to win tag team gold during their time together, but Cesaro's popularity exploded, nonetheless. This team opened the eyes of the wider audience to the incredible talents of the former United States Champion, and it seemed like only a matter of time before Cesaro broke out as a singles superstar.

We're still waiting for that to happen, but Cesaro is now a figure in the upper tiers of WWE's food chain. Without The Real Americans, who knows what would have happened.

Jack Swagger? Well, things didn't work out as well for him.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
