Welcome to Vol. II of "Confusing Championship Changes That Took Place For No Reason".

At Elimination Chamber 2010, John Cena won a Chamber match to capture his sixth world championship. However, he somehow managed to keep title for even less time than Bret did, because out came Vince McMahon to ruin his fun.

Cena had been giving assistance to Vince McMahon's WrestleMania opponent that year, who just so happened to be the aforementioned Hitman. To punish Cena, the Chairman said that he could only go to WrestleMania if he beat Batista, who was cashing in his " Vince McMahon Likes Me In The Bank" contract.

Batista made short work of an exhausted Cena, winning the title with ease. This set up a rematch between the two at WrestleMania XXVI, where Cena got his championship back.

This was obviously a quick fix because the company had no plans for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. The main event was going to be Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker, so they knew they didn't have to work too hard on a storyline for their main belt.

Come to think of it, maybe it was Bret that was the problem, not Shawn.
