10 Times A Major WWE Championship Changed Hands On "The Road To WrestleMania"
6. Goldberg Def. Kevin Owens For The Universal Championship (Fastlane 2017)
Whilst Bray Wyatt was winning gold on SmackDown, there was also a massive title change on Raw, courtesy of a 50-year-old man in tiny pants.
Goldberg's return to WWE in late 2016 had gone way better than anybody was expecting. His destruction of Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series was as shocking as it was refreshing and fans old and new alike gained a brand new appreciation for the WCW icon.
Goldberg got himself into a feud with Universal Champion, Kevin Owens, thanks to the loud mouth of his friend, Chris Jericho. The match was made for Fastlane with everybody wondering just how long it would take for Goldberg to destroy KO.
The answer was 22 seconds.
Jericho made his return after Owens brutalised him at The Festival of Friendship, distracting the champ long enough for Goldberg to Spear him out of his basketball shorts and hit a Jackhammer to win his first world title in 14 years.
Much like Wyatt though, Goldberg's title reign also ended at WrestleMania, when Lesnar picked up his first ever win over Bill and began the Universal Championship reign that never ended.
Great.
