Jesse "The Body" Ventura (dressed that night as Jesse "The Casual Pirate" Ventura), who had been relegated to the announce booth for some time, was chosen as the special guest referee by the team of Ted DiBiase and Andre the Giant, who declared Ventura the only "fair and neutral" option.
