10 Times AEW Took It Too Far

6. Cop A Load Of Tay Conti's Arse, Lads!

Tay Conti has - how to put this delicately? - a posterior that Jim Ross is guaranteed to have liked on Twitter at some point or other.

This physical attribute has driven storylines in AEW in a way that, for example, Bryan Danielson's bulge has not. Nobody has said that Danielson is so full of himself that he flaunts his huge cack around because his character is a sadistic technical expert. Also, he is a man.

Conti isn't afforded this luxury. On no less than two occasions, those bloody jealous, superficial women have made it known that Conti is defined by what she sits on.

At Full Gear '21, Conti challenged for Dr. Britt Baker's AEW Women's World title. In the build, Baker buried Conti. "All you've done since coming to AEW is show everybody your ass," Baker said, and months later, Paige VanZant signed her AEW deal on it, the implication of which was similar: Conti's personality, as a woman, is defined by her looks.

Now, this wouldn't be particularly "on" even if the idea was to convey that Conti had been underestimated, and that there was a real, credible threat underneath the marketable facade (she lost the match at Full Gear, which wasn't ideal in this regard).

Her portrayal is significantly worse now...
